This technique was created by Julianne Kravetz who has worked in the industry as a Bernina Educator, a quilter and a Fabric Artist.
Through Photofabrique you can receive your very own unique, individualized, reusable portrait pattern! This exceptional technique is easy and accurate, and can be done with or without a sewing machine, thus allowing those from all skill levels to experience success. This exciting process allows you to take nearly any original, clear photograph of an individual and accurately portray the image in fabric. The process involves reducing the many colors in a photograph to just 5 to 7 distinct colors. These layers of color can then be duplicated with fabric. The customized pattern provided allows you to create a wonderfully unique fabric portrait of approximately 12 inches by 18 inches in size.
